SLIME CARE TIPS

POKE YOUR SLIME WITH ONE FINGER TO MAKE SURE IT ISN'T TOO STICKY!

Depending on where you live, your slime could arrive melted due to the warm weather, or cold + stiff due to the cold weather. You can find fixes for these problems below.

How to make activator:
1. Add 1 tsp of the provided borax to 1 cup of warm water.
2. Mix the solution until it dissolves.
3. Add the solution in SMALL AMOUNTS!
4. Knead your slime until it is smooth :-)

How to play with slime:
First, wash your hands and apply lotion. Slime will stick to dirty hands. We recommend playing with slime on or over a clean table. It's important to handle slime quickly so it doesn't stick to your hands!

TIPS FOR W H I T E  G L U E  B A S E D SLIME:

My slime is...
...hard? Slime will naturally melt/get stickier over time! Adding lotion will also help. If it is cold out, your slime may be stiff. Simply warming it up with your hands will help.
...sticky? Adding in drops of activator will help! If you add too much, it can ruin your slime. It will be lumpy after activating, just knead it until it's smooth.
...still sticky? Not all slimes are meant to be holdable! Some slimes are meant to be played with on surfaces. Also, try poking and handling it quickly.
...foam beads falling out? The beads will start fall out if you add too much activator. Don't worry! Slime will naturally get stickier over time and fix itself.

Clear slime melts faster than white glue slime! We usually over-activate our clear slimes so it arrives perfectly.

My slime is...
...hard? Slime will naturally melt/get stickier over time! If it is cold out, your slime may be stiff. Simply warming it up with your hands will help. You can also try microwaving it in 5 second increments.
...sticky? Adding in drops of activator will help! If you add too much, it can ruin your slime. It will be lumpy after activating, just knead it until it's smooth. It may be bubbly after, but it should clear up in a few days!
...still sticky? Clear slimes are naturally stickier than white glue slimes! Try poking and handling it quickly.
...beads falling out? Slushee, fishbowl, & foam beads will start to fall out if you add too much activator. Don't worry! It will naturally get stickier over time and fix itself.

TIPS FOR B U T T E R SLIME:

Butter slime is made by mixing slime and air dry clay. If you play with it for over 20-30 minutes, it may dry up </3. It is normal for butter slime to dry up over time. Make sure to keep your butter slime in it's container when you're not playing with it!

My butter slime is...
...hard? Adding lotion will help!
...still hard? If your butter slime has dried up, there is no way to fix it. :-( Remember to keep it in it's container!
...sticky? Adding LITTLE DROPS of activator at a time will help! If you add to much, it will ruin your slime, so be careful. It will be lumpy after activating. All you have to do is knead it until it's smooth.

TIPS FOR C L O U D SLIME:

Cloud slime is made by mixing slime with fake snow. Our cloud slimes have a little snow fallout & do leave a bit of residue on your hands due to the snow! However, it does leave a lot less residue compared to other cloud slime recipes :-)

My cloud slime is...
...hard? Try adding lotion!
...crumbling? It may need some activator! Add activator in little drops & knead until it starts to come together.
...not drizzling? Cloud slime has to be "fluffed up" until there are no lumps.

Slime has a limited life span. If these tips don't work, it may not be possible to repair it. :-(

It is normal for slime to shrink and deflate over time!

Remember: Keep your slime away from pets, clothes, carpet, and furniture. Slime is NOT edible!

How do you clean slime?

The short solution: white vinegar. Vinegar is the cleaning Pac-Man that eats away at stain particles.

Clothing

Your child fell asleep playing with slime and it’s all over their favorite pair of PJs.

  • Remove the excess slime from the clothing. If wet, use a paper towel or pick it up with your hands. If dried, gently scrape off using a spoon or butter knife. It should come off easily; don’t pull or force it off as this could damage the fabric.

  • Soak the area in white vinegar.

  • Let it soak for 5 minutes. Don’t let the vinegar dry or evaporate.

  • Run warm water over the area. This will help rinse off any slime particles that the vinegar dislodged.

  • Wash the garment as normal. Be sure to choose the appropriate washing method for the clothing’s fabric.

Carpet

From the other room, you hear your child go silent. You rush in to see their innocently-guilty face staring up at you, as they stand over a pile of wet, goopy slime on the carpet.

  • Remove the excess slime. If wet, use a paper towel or pick it up with your hands. If dried, gently scrape off using a spoon or butter knife. It should come off easily: don’t pull or force it off as this could damage the carpeting.

  • Soak the area in white vinegar.

  • Let it soak for 5 minutes. Don’t let the vinegar dry or evaporate.

  • Run warm water over the area.

  • Pat and blot dry with a paper towel. Do not rub.

  • Vacuum to remove any leftover particles.

Pro-Tip: If you don’t have any white vinegar on hand, try club soda. Club soda is a stain removing master and it doesn’t need to be rinsed off. Slowly drizzle a small amount of club soda on the spill and let it dry. This works on carpets or clothing.

Walls

Your troublemaker threw the slime against the wall and now you’re left with a huge blue stain that even a Magic Eraser can’t touch.

  • Remove the excess slime. If wet, use a paper towel or pick it up with your hands. If dried, gently scrape off using a spoon or butter knife. It should come off easily; don’t pull or force it off as this could rip paint or wallpaper.

  • Mix a paste of baking soda and water. Add a small amount of vinegar for extra cleaning power. (Vinegar will drip down the wall on its own, so you need an exfoliating, sturdy paste to help fight gravity while you fight stains.)

  • Stir slowly until the paste is thick. If still not thick enough, add more baking soda.

  • Place a towel or protective covering on the floor beneath the stain. The paste (and stain) could drip down and damage the floors underneath if not properly protected.

  • Wearing rubber gloves, apply the paste directly on the stain. Allow the paste to sit on top of the stain.

  • Let the paste dry. Usually, this will take 1-2 hours.

  • Brush the dry paste off with a paper towel.

…and say goodbye to slime stain!
